The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice directing affiliated schools to develop functional websites and upload mandatory information, including teacher qualifications, for public disclosure. Despite repeated instructions, many schools either lack websites or have incomplete, inactive, or poorly displayed links for required documents.
CBSE has clearly stated that schools must create individual websites and ensure that all prescribed information, including teacher details and other essential documents, is uploaded prominently on the homepage. The board also noted that several schools have partially complied or failed to maintain active links, making the data inaccessible to the public.
As part of its final reminder, CBSE has given schools 30 days from the notice’s issuance to comply with these guidelines. This directive is part of the Mandatory Public Disclosure requirements aimed at ensuring transparency and accessibility of key school information to the public.
