Pariksha Pe Charcha is an interactive programme, conceptualised by India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the first edition of which was held on February 16, 2018. Students, parents, and teachers, from the country and overseas, are given the opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister on topics such as overcoming exam stress.
The fifth edition this year will be held in online mode, and the last date to participate was extended till January 27, 2022, as informed by officials from the Ministry of Education. A creative writing competition was held online from December 28 to January 20, to select the participants of the programme. The winners of the participants can ask questions to the Prime Minister, which will be feature in the programme.
The topics for the students are – exam stress management strategies during COVID-19, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, self-reliant schools for a self-reliant India, Clean India, Green India, digital collaboration in the classrooms, environmental conservation, and climate change resilience.
The topics for the parents include – Beti Padhao, Desh Badhao, Local to Global - Vocal for Local, lifelong students’ Yearning for Learning. For teachers, the theme is “National Education Policy (NEP) for Naya Bharat”.
The participants for the programme will be selected through the competition on the MyGov portal. They will be awarded a Pariksha Pe Charcha kit and a certificate by the Director of NCERT. The kit will contain copies of the “Exam Warriors” book, in English and Hindi, authored by Narendra Modi.
