All 18 departments of the Ahmedabad Municipal School Board will now function from a location with the inauguration of the School Board Bhavan at Navrangpura. This integration will enhance efficiency and streamline administrative procedures.
Patel inaugurated 28 new electric buses, added to the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service fleet, in an event held on the same day, and officials plan to introduce 225 new e-buses in various phases. These buses will minimise carbon dioxide emissions by a calculated 75,000 Kgs annually, according to AMTS authorities.
Officials stressed the advanced safety features of the buses, and they mentioned that these buses set a national benchmark in passenger security. Authorities have carried out compulsory safety audits and cybersecurity for electric buses for the first time in the country.
