Expressing pride in this achievement, Krishnan emphasised the significance of launching an India-inspired education tablet. He underscored its potential to empower students and inspire them to embrace the ethos of designing and creating products within India for both domestic and global markets. Ajai Chowdhry, Founder and Chairman of the EPIC Foundation, along with Arjun Malhotra, Co-Founder of the EPIC Foundation, highlighted the importance of prioritising repairability in product design. They emphasised the economic and environmental benefits of creating devices with easily replaceable and upgradable components, aiming to mitigate issues like high repair costs and electronic waste generation.

The education tablet, equipped with the BharatGPT virtual assistant, aims to actively facilitate digital learning while promoting linguistic diversity and inclusivity. It incorporates AI/ML-based inter-lingual translation capabilities to cater to the varied language needs of India and ensure accessibility for differently-abled individuals. Through this initiative, India not only advances its digital education landscape but also showcases its commitment to local innovation and sustainability in technology development.
