Over 20,000 UP schools to get basic, cleanliness related infrastructure


In a recent announcement, the government of Uttar Pradesh shared that nearly 20,169 government elementary schools in the state will be provided with basic infrastructure and overall cleanliness.

According to sources, under ‘rejuvenation of basic infrastructure and overall cleanliness of government schools’ project, the selected schools will undergo interventions like repairs of dilapidated buildings, toilets, electricity connection, drinking water facility and boundary walls.

Among the selected schools for this scheme, Gorakhpur gets the maximum share with 483 schools followed by Gonda and Sultanpur with 468 and 467 schools respectively. The selection of these schools is based on enrolments and year of establishment.
