The advance city intimation slip for candidates who are to appear for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam (AISSEE) 2025 has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates can download the slip from the official NTA website: https://nta.ac.in OR https://exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE/, by just logging in with their Application Number & Date of Birth. NTA has also clarified that this slip is not the admit card but only an advance information about the city of the candidate’s examination centre. The AISSEE admit card will be released later. Entrance exam is scheduled for April 5, 2025 as of now & will be held at various centres nationwide.
Generally, AISSEE is conducted for admission into Class 6 & Class 9 of Sainik Schools. These schools which are English medium residential schools affiliated with CBSE, prepare cadets for the National Defence Academies in Khadakwasla, Indian Naval Academy & Ezhimala, and also to other officer training academies. At present, there are 33 Sainik Schools in the country. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has approved the establishment of 35 new Sainik Schools apart from this as well. These schools will function in partnership with NGOs, private institutions & state governments.
The eligibility criteria for this is as follows:
>For Class 6:
Applying candidates should be between 10 & 12 years of age as of March 31, 2025.
Admission for girls is available only in Class 6 in all Sainik Schools.
>For Class 9:
Applying candidates must be between 13 & 15 years of age as of March 31, 2025, and should have passed Class 8 from a recognised school.
Admission for girls in Class 9 depends on vacancy availability.
