  • Education based on Multiple Intelligences

    Schools known as Multiple Intelligence (MI) Schools are the schools that have adopted the pedagogy and curricular methodologies influenced by the Theory of Multiple Intelligences propounded by Dr. Howard Gardner, a Harvard educational psychologist. The ground breaking theory postulates that intelligence is not a monolithic ability but covers an entire spectrum of cognitive capacities termed “intelligences”.

    There are at least 7 identified intelligences which include Logical Mathematical and Linguistic intelligences; Visual-Spatial intelligence, Bodily –Kinesthetic intelligence, Musical intelligence and Inter-personal, Intra-personal intelligence. There are other candidate intelligences including Naturalistic and Existential intelligences. An ability qualifies as a specific intelligence only if it is located in a specific anatomical region of the brain and individual differences in its manifestation can be quantified.


  • Starting school in India – Own Brand or Franchise?

The first i.e. building school independently offers the school promoters reserved rights on returns on investment, own school brand, freedom of choosing the board of affiliation, innovative choices in school operations, recruitment standards, location and expansion, immense social recognition and satisfaction of bringing a brainchild to life.  If that is so, opting for expert assistance from experienced school consultants in the course of school establishment and management can make things much simpler for the school promoter and help establish a sustainable school.

  • Comparing CBSE and ICSE Boards

    Which board of education to choose? That is a question that occurs to every parent who happens to have a choice. Now as the nation is developing the numbers of parents with such choice is bound to grow. There are various opinions that end up shaping the choice of the parents with regard to the education board. A variant of the same question is faced by people planning to start a school in any of the states in India. The school promoters have labored under the question whether to start a school affiliated to the CBSE or the ICSE. There are several factors to consider for deciding upon the board of affiliation for one’s school. The priorities of parents, community in which the school is being planned, the medium of instruction, availability of qualified teachers for additional subjects of ICSE board etc.


  • Comparing IB and IGCSE

    International Baccalaureate® (IB) and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) are the two International school education programs. IGCSE is also an examination conducting body.  The IGCSE is controlled by a department of the University of Cambridge and IB is an education foundation with headquarters in Geneva. International Baccalaureate® is an International education foundation which runs four educational programmes namely Primary Year Programme (PYP), Middle Year Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-Related Programme (CRP). IGCSE is administered by a separate department at the University of Cambridge, UK.
